THE MICHAEL FROST TRIO Singer / songwriter Michael Jason Frost, along with his wife Jennifer and singer Amy Bebout, have come together to record a CD as "The Michael Frost Trio." All three singers are recent performers at The Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN, where for five years they were part of the cast of the popular musical, The Miracle, about the life of Christ. This is where the three singers first discovered their harmonious blend and mutual love for gospel music. They began to perform as a trio and quickly gained a following. As a songwriter, Michael has cuts by several of gospel music's most popular artists, including Ivan Parker, Hissong, Heirline, The Wilburns, The Greesons, The Kirklands and more. Many of his songs have climbed The Singing News Top 40 chart. Michael was named "Songwriter of the Year" in 2007 by the Eddie Crook Company. In 2006, Michael was cast at The Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN in an original musical production about the life of Christ. Michael signed on for every season of The Miracle, where he played various roles from John the Baptist to Judas, and as an understudy to the role of Jesus. He also served as host and pre-show soloist. Michael performed in all six seasons of The Miracle, and also appeared in the theater's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Exalt! A Christian Concert Spectacular. In 2009, Michael signed a recording / publishing deal with Crossroads Music / Pinnacle label. His solo CD, Sing Like It's the Last Time, was released in April 2009 through Crossroads Music and featured 10 songs written by Frost, including the charting singles "Sing Like It's the Last Time" and "Three Words, Three Nails, Three Days." In October 2011, after the closing of The Miracle, Michael stepped into full-time ministry as the baritone singer for Dove-award nominated trio, HisSong. He is a part of the group's new CD, Decade. A graduate of Mars Hill College in North Carolina with a degree in music and drama, Jen went on to perform in several shows across the country in various venues and also spent some time in the theater scene in New York City. She also spent several years of her career specifically in Christian Theater. In 2006, Jen was cast at Sight & Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA, which is the largest Christian-based theater in the country. There, Jen had feature roles in the original productions of Ruth and The Miracle of Christmas. In 2007, Jen was cast in The Miracle at The Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN, where she performed until 2011, playing various feature roles from Mother Mary to Martha. She was also a featured vocalist in the theater's production of Exalt! A Christian Concert Spectacular, which was performed twice a week throughout 2009. Jen met Michael Frost at The Miracle in 2007, and they were married there in 2009. Since their marriage, Jen and Michael have not only performed together at The Miracle, but they have also toured and performed at churches and concert events across the country. Jen was also part of Michael's debut solo CD on Crossroads Records, singing harmonies and offering a duet, "That Which Cost Me Nothing." Blessed with many talents, Jen is currently involved with The Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Show, where she has served as actor, director and writer. She also works as a certified professional in the medical industry. In all that God has enabled her to do, Jen says that her biggest blessing in life is her daughter, Jael.
As a young girl, Amy was signed by an agent in Atlanta, GA and went on to star in an ABC Television Movie starring Richard Chamberlain. From there her acting and singing career continued into her teenage years as she branched out on her own. Amy went on to work as a performer at popular venues such Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN and The Holy Land Experience in Orlando, FL, where she met her husband, Todd. In 2007, Amy was cast in The Miracle in Pigeon Forge, TN. She and Todd both worked for the theater for several years. Amy starred as "The Deaf Woman," singing the show's most powerful and popular number, "The Miracle I Need." Amy also appeared in the show as an angel, "Uriel." She was later cast in the theater's production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." MICHAEL JASON FROST grew up singing gospel music with his family in upper East Tennessee. By the time he was a teenager, he was harmonizing with his cousins and traveling on weekends across the southeast with a family band, The Frost Family. That band evolved into a vocal trio, The Frosts, that did well in the southern gospel music industry with widespread radio airplay and charting singles. The trio enjoyed success from 2002 - 2005 and earned a Singing News Fan Award nomination in 2005.
JENNIFER GILBERT FROST easily captures the hearts of listeners with her vocal ability and her powerful testimony. Known to everyone as Jen, she hails from South Carolina and grew up with a passion for singing and performing musical theater.
AMY BEBOUT sings her way into the hearts of people across the country with her high soprano voice. She grew up "on the road." Born into a musical family, Amy is the daughter of an evangelist and the youngest of three singing sisters. Her mother and father had met in theater and then stepped out into ministry with their daughters. The family traveled full-time across the country as The Singing Bebouts, performing at churches, campmeetings and jubilees throughout Amy's childhood. The family not only sang, but also presented original ministry-based dramas and theatrical performances.
